Dr. Dax George-Kelly Alabo has said that the Peoples Democratic Party members in Asari-Toru Local Government Area will ensure a resounding victory for the party’s governorship candidate, Sir Siminialayi Fubara in every ward in the LGA.
The Hon. Commissioner for Works made the assertion while playing host to a delegation of ASALGA PDP Executive Committee members and Ward Chairmen who paid a courtesy call on him in his office on Thursday, 25 August, 2022.
Dr. George-Kelly enjoined the ASALGA PDP family to work very hard towards securing victory for the party which also includes delivering PDP candidates contesting for the state and federal legislative seats.
“I want to commend you for keeping the unity of the party in the LGA intact. This is one of the most united LGA chapter of the PDP since inception. I urge you all to continue in that unity, peace and love, we will all get to our destination someday. I will always support you because support for the party and organs of the party is something I love doing.
“We have to get ready for the forthcoming GDI PVC sensitization rally in the LGA that is slated for 2 September 2022. I urge you to go to your various wards and mobilize very well for the rally.
“Rivers is Simplified, ASALGA is Simplified. The candidate of the PDP, Sim Fubara will be delivered in every ward in Asari-Toru Local Government Area. Despite the fact that PDP is the leading party in ASALGA, we must not give room for complacency, we must all work very hard until victory is secured for all our candidates in the state,” George-Kelly stated.
Earlier in his remarks, Hon. Oduye Tomwest , Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, Asari-Toru Local Government Area Chapter, who led the delegation congratulated Dr. George-Kelly on his appointment as Commissioner for Works, and also commended his noticeable contribution to the infrastructural revolution of His Excellency, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
“We are here as a party to congratulate you for your appointment as Honourable Commissioner for Works, we are very proud of you as one of the emerging leaders in the state and our own leader.
“This appointment is a testament of your performance while you were superintending the Bureau for Special Projects. Your imprint in the infrastructural revolution of the administration of Governor Nyesom Wike is there for everyone to see. You have done excellently well,” he added.
