PDP Sets Up Anambra Ward Congress Appeal Panel, Osun ELECO, Postpones Lagos State Congress

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the postponement of outstanding State Congress for the purpose of electing new State Executive Committee of the Party in Lagos State.

According to a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the postponement is from the earlier scheduled date of Wednesday, February 23, 2022 to a new date of Sunday, February 27, 2022.

All aspirants, critical stakeholders and teeming members of the Party in Lagos State have been asked to take note.

In another development, the NWC has approved the nomination of the following party members to serve on the Electoral Committee for the Osun Ward Congresses for the purpose of electing a 3-Man Ad-Hoc Ward Delegates to the Special State Congress.

The members of the Committee are:

  1. H.E. Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri – (Chairman)
  2. H.E. Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo – (Member)
  3. Sen. Ahmed Maccido – (Member)
  4. Nze Ozichukwu Fidelis – (Member)
  5. Prince Yandev Amabai- (Member)
  6. Barr. Mrs. Nellie Ikpi – (Member)
  7. Dr. Abiye Sekibo – (Secretary)

“The exercise is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 to Thursday February 24, 2022 in all the 332 Wards of Osun State.

“All aspirants, leaders and critical stakeholders of our Party in Osun State are to take note,” it said.

Also, the WARD Congresses Electoral Appeal Panel to consider appeals arising from the conduct of the Ward Congresses in Anambra State was constituted by the NWC of PDP.

The members of the Appeals Committee are:

  2. Dame Dr. Esther Uduehi – Member
  3. Rt. Hon. Mulikat Adeola Akande – Member

“The exercise is scheduled for Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at the National Working Committee (NWC) Hall, PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja at 10.00am

“All aspirants, leaders and critical stakeholders of our great Party in Anambra State should please take note,” the statement by Ologunagba said.
