The PDP has responded as follows to enquiries by Party members on the decision reached at the interactive meeting between the NWC and critical Stakeholders in its Imo State Chapter held on Tuesday at the National Secretariat Abuja:
The PDP has expressed fury over comments credited to the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, in which he purportedly dabbled into the internal affairs of the party.
The PDP family has in a congratulatory message to mark the 65th birthday of the immediate past President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, listed his achievements in key sectors of Nigeria.
The PDP has reacted to the purported attack on the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign convoy in Maiduguri, Borno State on Wednesday, 9 November 2022 by armed thugs who they believe were sponsored by the APC.
The PDP accused the APC of resorting to violence and attacking their members and innocent Nigerians in a vicious attempt to disrupt the rally, and stated consolingly, that “the APC was firmly resisted by the people of Kaduna State, who demonstrated their full support for Atiku Abubakar as the next President of Nigeria.”
The PDP has been rattled by the huge public outcry that follow its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar’s egregious effort of playing ethnic and tribal politics with his recent charge to northerners to only vote for a northern presidential candidate in 2023.
In apparent excitement over the National Honours conferred on party leaders by Nigerian President Buhari the PDP has congratulated its Vice Presidential Candidate and Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, and the other leaders and described it as “well-deserved National Awards by the Federal Government.”
The NWC of PDP has declared after its meeting on Tuesday that what a publication by a particular newspaper reported as a bribe given by its embattled Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, was actually a Housing Allowance legally paid by the Party to its National Officers.
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has denied what it described as “misrepresenting reports in a section of the media alluding strange and unfounded motives to the Housing Allowance duly approved and paid to NWC members and staff of the Party.”
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared as a disturbing act of terror, a video of Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello purportedly inciting his supporters and threatening to burn and unleash maximum violence on Nigerians during the 2023 general elections.
