The list of venues for the Edo State PDP 3 Ad-Hoc Delegate Congress for the next PDP Governorship Primary election presently in circulation, has been fiercely disputed by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), marking a dramatic reversal in events.

The publication, which is alleged to have been signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, was flatly denied by the PDP in a press release signed and distributed by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, National Publicity Secretary. This may indicate that there is internal turmoil inside the party.

The PDP emphasized that it is a party that upholds due process and official communication channels. The PDP asserted that as a party, known for its commitment to transparency, it will release the genuine and official list of venues for the PDP 3 Ad-Hoc Delegate Congress through the appropriate party communication channels.

The Party stated that the NWC urgently calls on all PDP members in Edo State and the general public to dismiss the circulated publication as false and misleading. The party has urged everyone to rely solely on official communications channels, as outlined in the PDP Constitution, to obtain accurate information.

This development has made the political climate in Edo State to become more tense and uncertain. The PDP’s NWC has consequently advised the media to exercise caution and double-check information with the party’s official channels, in order to prevent spreading false information.

Political analysts and party members are undoubtedly anticipating the formal announcement of the venue specifics for the much awaited PDP 3 Ad-Hoc Delegate Congress, as well as the swift resolution of this misunderstanding, as the party fights to maintain party unity and contain internal conflict.
