Opinion | Notes on the 4-Bloc MNN Map and the 1885 Ethnolinguistic Map of the Lower Niger

That Map came up as a Strategic and the most Expeditious formation for the dismantling of the toxic defunct “Federation” of Nigeria, following the Secession of the 12-State Sharia Contiguity (Green on the Map) from the Secular Union of Nigeria when in year 2000 Sharia was simultaneously imposed across the that Territory.

In response to concerns occasionally raised by some of our brethren in the Niger Delta and some from the Igbo Eastern Heartland concerning the 4-Bloc MNN Map, the LNC had severally explained that the 4-Bloc Map has practically nothing to with the Niger Delta Nationalities and what they each do with their Sovereignty when it is retrieved from the Rogue Suzerainty of a State, masquerading as “Nigeria”.

LNC’s years of research which drilled all the way down to the pre-1914 and all the was to the imposed, fraudulent 1999 Constitution, threw up a clear Diagnosis of a CLASH OF CIVILIZATIONS as the chief ailment of Nigeria, compounded by decades of arrogant, unyielding belligerence by the Feudal Bloc that also imposed Sharia, with to real remediation alternatives outside of the complete dismantling of the unworkable Union of Death and Attrition.

Having reached that verdict, the first challenge was to figure out how the Non-Caliphate, Non-Sharia rest of Nigeria would work out their future, away from the failed Lugardian Contraption.

This was what birthed the MNN Alliance of the Non-Caliphate rest of Nigeria which by the MNN LAGOS DECLARATION OF JUNE 30, 2011, Jointly repudiated the 1999 Constitution as the basis of Nigeria, Mandating each Of the 3-Blocs (Brown, Blue and Purple, to proceed quickly to distilling cohesive, equitable internal Constitutional Arrangements for their respective Territories).

The MNN LAGOS DECLARATION by the Non-Caliphate rest of Nigeria, came in the immediate aftermath of the 2011 Election as the Caliphate agents of violence began to carry out the 2010 threats from well known Caliphate Elements that “ the North would make Nigeria Ungovernable”, if the then President Goodluck Jonathan or any other Southerner emerged President from the 2011 Electoral Round.

The guide to approaching that challenge was to use the well-known fault-lines of Nigeria and as a matter of going from the known to the unknown, the first delineation the aforementioned 12-State Sharia Contiguity.

Next was the Contiguous and substantially homogeneous Yoruba Contiguity which includes the Yoruba of Kwara and Kogi, (Blue on the Map)

With these two out, what was left to resolve was the Middle Belt Territory (Purple on the Map) and Eastern half of Southern Nigeria, which up till 1966 comprised of the then Eastern and Midwestern Region, (Brown on the Map), currently fractured into 11 States informally bifurcated into “South South” and “South East” Zones by Nigeria. (The Lower Niger Territory)

Guided by the lessons of History and the dictates of Geography, and the prevailing Global imperatives on the Question of Self-Determination, the LNC (which is the aggregation of the various Self-Determination Initiatives of the of the Territory) sought out the 1885 Ethnolinguistic Map of the Lower Niger Territory, (shown below), which clearly delineates the 6-Broad Constituent Ethnolinguistic Groupings of the Lower Niger, with a view to facilitating discussions amongst them for Post-Nigeria Arrangements.

The LNC proposed to the Nationalities, a Federating Model that would be founded on the unfettered Self-Determination Rights of each of the Constituent Component Nationality, big or small.

Those discussions commenced in physical form across the Territory, from one Nationality Space to another for an initial 6 years that culminated in the Inaugural Proclamation of the Lower Niger Proposal 2009, in Warri, with 22 Signatories from the Ethnic Delegations Of the Territory.

Consultations continued and built up to the Solemn Assembly of the Peoples of the Lower Niger April 27, 2015 in Port Harcourt, (in the immediate aftermath of the fractious 2015 Violence-Driven Elections), which formally Adopted the aforementioned 1885 Map as the Geographical Basis for further exploring the possibility of a 6- Bloc Federation amongst the Nationalities of the Territory, amidst Nigeria’s inevitable unraveling.

That Solemn Assembly Mandated the distillation of a CHARTER OF RELATIONSHIPS that would define the Internal Understandings Girding the Prospective Lower Niger Federation. It also Mandated the pursuit of a UN-Backed Referendum in which the Peoples of the Territory would decide their future.

The Video Recording of that History Solemn Assembly still runs on YouTube under the title “SOLEMN ASSEMBLY OF THE PEOPLES OF THE LOWER NIGER APRIL 27, 2015 IN PORT HARCOURT”.
In the vein, “THE RESOLUTIONS OF THE SOLEMN ASSEMBLY OF THE PEOPLES OF THE LOWER NIGER” is can be accessed on the LNC website, FB Page, or Googled and it will help a great deal to bring clarity to the massive efforts at self-redemption going on in the Region within which framework the Niger Delta Avengers in 2016, proclaimed that they were fighting FOR THE RESTORATION OF THE SOVEREIGNTY OF THE OLD EASTERN REGION. This is most instructive, to those still thinking in terms of the South South/ South East enemy imposed dichotomy which came to full light when in 2013 Junaid Mohammed, as the Arewa megaphone, declared in exasperation that “after-all, the South South was a creation of the North to manage it’s Interests in Eastern Nigeria”. That outburst was in response to loud Niger Delta voices insisting that the Zone must allowed to take its full two-terms at the Presidency of Nigeria, as other Zones.

Guided by the lessons of Nigeria and the lessons of Biafra, the Modalities for the distillation of the said CHARTER OF RELATIONSHIPS, is such that the Self-Determination Rights Of each of the Constituent Component Nationalities is held Sacrosanct.

Each of the Nationalities will Independently Scrutinize, Ratify and Adopt the Draft Charter through all its stages of First Draft, Second Draft and Final Draft that would be Jointly Scrutinized by a Special Delegates Assembly before the Adoption of a Clean Draft which will be Jointly Ratified at an elaborate public Event.

It is this 1885 Map and the Modalities for the CHARTER OF RELATIONSHIPS that should be the concern of the Niger Delta Nationalities and not the 4-Bloc MNN Map with which the dismantling of the Rogue Suzerainty called “Nigeria” as defined by the fraudulent 1999 Constitution, is being pursued.

It is pertinent to make clear the fact that in the face of the existential threats staring at the rest of Nigeria, by the actions and dispositions of the belligerent Feudalist/Sharia/ Caliphate proprietors of Unitarist Nigeria, including the ongoing undisguised Ethnic Cleansing Campaign, sweeping Southwards from the North, it has become an urgent imperative to shoot down the fraud we all call “the 1999 Constitution” and the Inverted Federation it foists.

The challenge before the Thought-Leaders of all the endangered but entrapped Constituent Components of that rest of Nigeria, is to brace up quickly and join the Herculean tasks of helping transit their own People to the day after the toxic Master-Servant Nigeria, just like Walter Sisulu, Oliver Thambo, Nelson Mandela, Govan Mbeki, Steve Biko, Chris Hani, Winnie Mandela and many others helped to defeat Apartheid and pull out their People from enslavement and bondage.

Those who for humongous personal benefits, cling tenaciously to the obnoxious 1999 Constitution which enslave and impoverish the very People in whose name those benefits are taken, and who are working or hoping that somehow, their terminally-ill Nigeria would wobble through in perpetuity, should realize that as they swear to defend and uphold the death-and-misery-dispensing 1999 Constitution and as they seek to Elections under it, that oppressed and traumatized People they defraud have already drawn a line of friend and foe with that 1999 Constitution as the Objective dividing line in terms of who is for or who is against, just like in Animal Farm’s “Four-Legs-Good-Two-Legs-Bad divide, as penned by George Orwell.

In the raging disputations of coexistence rocking the foundations of Nigeria, and until Referendums and Plebiscites are deployed to settle the disputations, let us use the 4-Bloc MNN as our Compass and Gauge for who and what is for or against the strategic interests of our People. Let us also roll up our sleeves to help work out the Protocols of Willing, Compati ble Contiguities, both within our immediate enclaves and the outlying spaces.
