Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari will again abandon the country as he leaves for London, United Kingdom, October 31, 2022, for routine medical check-up, despite the heightened security threat that provoked the United States Embassy security advisory, which the federal government considers offensive.
The trip is coming immediately after attending an emergency meeting with security chiefs in Abuja to further review and strengthen the countryโs security network as tension mounts over nationwide terror scare.
This was communicated in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, in Abuja on Monday, 31 October 2022.
According to Mr. Adesina, without being specific, President Buhari is expected back to the country in the second week of November, 2022.
