International Youth Day: Message of brighter tomorrow from NDDC SA (Youth)

The Special Assistant (Youth) to the Sole Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Udengs Eradiri has felicitated with the youth of the region on the occasion of this year’s International Youth Day.

The renowned former student and youth activist and former Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) President wrote the following in a goodwill message personally signed by him with the title: “Message of a brighter tomorrow on the International Youth Day 2021.”

“As the world celebrates today the 12th of August 2021 which is a day globally set aside to celebrate the youth, the leaders of tomorrow and our beacons of hope.

“I bring you greetings from my boss Barr. Efiong Akwa, the Interim Administrator/CEO of the Niger Delta Development Commission, the Director of Youth, the team at the office of the S.A Youth and of cause, the entire Directorate of Youth at the NDDC.

“This year’s international youth day brings me joy and happiness not only because of the theme “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health” but also reminds me of our journey as Niger Deltans, the victories we have won, the bright future and development ahead. I am honoured to be a part of the stride to development and the dreams for a new Niger Delta. At the NDDC we are working closely with stakeholders to ensure that everyone is in tune with the plans of the commission for a greater and better tomorrow.

“Let me seize this opportunity to appreciate our ever-energetic youth for the peace and responsibility of ensuring our region is the safest in the country and I say this with all sense of pride and also the support they have given to my boss and entire management team at the NDDC to ensure the forensic audits was a success without hitches but with grandeur.

“We will continue to push for pieces of training that will change the lives of our teeming youths directly and I encourage young people to engage in Agriculture and Innovations that will change our beloved region.

“Lastly, let me assure you that the environmental and economical challenges of today will be our story for tomorrow.

“God bless you and Happy International Youth Day!!!”
