ISOLO, Lagos โ In a tragic incident, an unidentified female passenger lost her life in a fatal collision involving a car and a stationary 20-foot containerized truck at Isolo Under bridge, heading towards Oshodi, Lagos State. The accident occurred on Friday, prompting swift response from authorities.

According to a statement by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the Kia car, registered as KWL-475CZ, was traveling at high speed when it collided head-on with the truck on the highway. The impact of the collision resulted in the unfortunate death of the female passenger, while the driver of the car sustained injuries.
Upon receiving the distress call, personnel from LASTMA and the Nigeria Police quickly arrived at the scene to assist. Efforts were made to rescue the trapped individual inside the car, and the deceased victim was promptly bagged and handed over to the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit for transportation to the morgue.
Following standard procedure, the damaged car was relocated to the Olosan Police Station. However, the statement issued by authorities highlighted the need for specialized equipment, including a crane and low bed, to recover the abandoned containerized truck from the road.
As of the time of filing this report, the identities of the victims involved in the accident remain unknown, pending further investigation by relevant authorities.
