A team of delegation of the Nigerian Army led by the Director Army Headquarters Directorate of Army Recruitment, Resettlement and Reserve, Brig. Gen. Aminu Mustapha Garba took the 84 Regular Intake recruitment drive to the Southwest on Monday, 7 November 2022.

The Nigerian Army has taken its recruitment drive to the Southwest in continuation of its Sensitization Campaign for the ongoing 84 Regular Intake following the massive boycott of the exercise by youths mostly from the Southern part of the country.

The team of delegation was led to Lagos on Monday, 7 November 2022 by Director Army Headquarters Directorate of Army Recruitment, Resettlement and Reserve Brigadier General Aminu Mustapha Garba.

The team of delegation was received by his Lagos State Governor Sanwo Olu, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary Cabinet Office, Mrs. Folashade Oshodi and subsequently held a Town Hall meeting at Alausa Local Government Secretariate Ikeja.

During the meeting, Youth within the recruitment age were encouraged to take advantage of the online NA recruitment advertisement to register and join the Nigerian Army in order to contribute their quota to the national security architecture and Welfare packages available to Nigerian Army personnel.

Highlights of the event was an interactive session where clarifications were made on some grey areas regarding recruitment process in the Nigerian Army and presentation of souvenirs.

Present at the occasion were a delegation of the 81 Division, various Directors and Local Government Area Chairmen, representative of Federal Character Commission and other ministries, traditional leaders, members of the press, Youth and relevant stakeholders among others.
