In the fight against the increasing insecurity in Kaduna state and along the Abuja-Kaduna Motorway, the Nigeria Police Force’s arrest and display of 63 individuals linked to violent crimes, including the masterminds of the most recent train attack, represents a significant victory.
These initiatives, which Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun is supervising, mark a substantial breakthrough in the local community’s struggle against violent crimes and terrorism.
Strengthened Security Protocols:
The Nigeria Police Force has taken decisive steps to address the growing insecurity along the Abuja-Kaduna Motorway under IGP Egbetokun’s direction. Arrests for Breakthrough:
A significant achievement in the current operations has been the capture of Ibrahim Abdullahi, often referred to as MANDE, who has admitted to being the head of a well-known kidnapping organisation that operates along the Abuja-Kaduna route. Abdullahi has been linked to multiple kidnapping episodes, including the attack on Green Field University, along with collaborators Dogo Gide and Bello Turji. In addition, Abdullahi and his allies were found to be a member of the armed organisation that carried out the horrific train attack on March 28, 2022, which claimed lives and resulted in kidnappings.
Restoring Safety:
158 kidnapped victims have been safely rescued and reunited with their families thanks to the effective operations performed by the Nigeria Police Force. Furthermore, the law enforcement authorities’ dedication to maintaining justice and guaranteeing the safety of all citizens is demonstrated by the recovery of ransom money totaling N3,350,000 and the prosecution of multiple suspects. The police reiterate their commitment to fighting crime and bringing calm back to the area, even though the majority of suspects are already in the court system.
