Trans-Amadi road will be commissioned today. The road looks beautiful, and is fitted with the right road furniture. I drive through it everyday, and can attest to the quality and beauty, especially at night under the glow of the streetlights. The floral artistry and deliberate greens at the roundabouts also add to the beauty.
Trans-Amadi plays a strategic role to the industrial sector; the road is the main arterial, running through the busy industrial layout. Therefore, this road, now properly dualized, will have far reaching effect on the industrial cluster and business ecosystem. Most of the employers of labour and taxpayers in the state are on that axis, and this road is strategic to them.
I congratulate those who had the vision to award this, and the current administration for having the political will and courage to see this through in 3 years. It took a dedicated N1 Billion monthly funding from IGR over this term, to see this through.
It’s my hope that this road will further energize the industrial ecosystem, as we call on government to do more to compliment this; in terms of policy formulation, to revive the ailing cluster.
Well done.
