The controversy erupted following purported statements by Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, prompting the official Ohanaeze Ndigbo led by Chief Engr. Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu to set the record straight. The organization emphasized that Ambassador Okey Emuchay, MFR, serves as its Secretary General, discrediting Isiguzoro’s statements and attributing them to a “mischief maker, meddlesome interloper, social climber, and media navigator.”
