The Nigerian Army has announced the commencement of the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 28/2024 recruitment, which offers a golden opportunity for aspiring individuals to join the noble ranks of the nation’s defenders. In a bid to streamline the application process, the Army has outlined a detailed method for potential candidates to follow:
- Visit the NA Webpage: Access the official Nigerian Army website at recruitment.army.mil.ng and navigate to the DSSC option.
- Read Qualification Criteria: Familiarize yourself with the qualification criteria for the ongoing DSSC courses outlined on the redirected page.
- Click “Apply Now”: Click on the “Apply Now” button corresponding to your qualifications and preferred Corps.
- Armed Forces Service Information: Indicate whether you are currently serving or have served in the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
- Account Setup: Create an account by clicking “Sign Up” if you don’t have one. Follow the email verification process for new accounts.
- Form Completion: Fill out the application form and upload the necessary documents, including a passport photograph, educational certificates, professional body membership evidence, state of origin certificate, birth certificate or age declaration, and NIN/BVN.
Applicants are required to print their online-generated photo-slip upon completing the application. The first page needs the Registrar of any Court of Law’s signature, while the second page should be signed by the applicant’s Local Government Chairman/Secretary or a military officer of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel or equivalent, hailing from the applicant’s state of origin.
Successful candidates will undergo a written examination at designated centres. During the examination and subsequent interviews at the Selection Board, applicants must present their printed application forms, including the photo-slip and necessary forms.
