How Nigerian security forces are exercising jointly in Ibadan to effectively combat insecurity.

The security organizations in Oyo State, namely, 2 Division Nigerian Army, 671 Nigerian Airforce Detachment, the Nigeria Police Force and other security/paramilitary agencies conducted a joint route match on Friday, 25 November 2022, as part of routine physical exercise jointly conducted by the military and other security agencies aimed at fostering synergy and cordial relationship between them.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Nsikak Edet, while speaking through his representative, commended the turnout and the zeal exhibited by the various agencies.

Brig. Gen. Edet pointed out that the exercise apart from enabling the members of the security agencies to keep fit, will further boost and build more synergy, cooperation and collaboration amongst the agencies, as well as show Nigerians that the Armed Forces, Police, other security and para military agencies can work together without any friction and rancor.

The one star general said the exercise will hence forth be conducted regularly and enjoined the participating agencies to further improve on their turn out in the next exercise.

The 2 Division Nigerian Army Ibadan, 671 Nigerian Airforce Detachment, the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, Department of State Security, Nigeria Custom Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Correction Service, Federal Road Safety Corp, Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency, National Park Service, Amotekun Security Network and members of the National Youth Service Corp were the agencies that participated in the exercise.
