The Executive Secretary/CEO of Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA), Dr. George-Kelly D. Alabo, FNIQS, DSSRS, Thursday, 6th March paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Chief Wale Edun to intimate him of BCDA’s vision, 2025 procurement plan, and the agency’s medium term Strategic Action Plan (SAP). 

The visit also aimed at seeking the support of the finance ministry in ensuring the agency achieves 100% budget implementation in the year 2025 through prompt releases. 

The Executive Secretary revealed the BCDA’s priority intervention areas in border communities as water supply, education, health, agriculture, power supply, social welfare, and security. 

Dr. George-Kelly in his statement, while thanking President Tinubu for his considerable and timely support to the agency, pledged to commission over 200 projects this year; projects fully in line with Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at bringing succor to border community dwellers in Nigeria.

In his response, the Honourable Minister promised to support the agency through prompt releases, and more funding avenues locally and internationally. Chief Edun applauded the BCDA for its vision, he encouraged the ES to keep up with the momentum.
