President Bola Tinubu, in a positive development, met with Ms. Reeta Roy, the President and CEO of the Mastercard Foundation, and praised the brilliance, vitality, and global competitiveness of Nigerian youth. The President reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to promoting public-private partnerships that aim to give the nation’s youthful, active population alternatives for respectable employment.
President Tinubu stressed the program’s congruence with his Renewed Hope Agenda for economic development and job creation when he endorsed the Mastercard Foundation’s effort, which aims to create 10 million employment for Nigerian youth. Recognising the critical role that such programmes play in transforming the economic environment, he praised the foundation’s work.
“We think you are doing a great job. We are committed to governing in an inclusive manner and transforming the climate and image of this nation. President Tinubu declared, “Nigeria must take its leadership of this continent very seriously because it has the largest economy in Africa.”
