ABUJA, FCT — With the upcoming by-elections for notable legislative seats from the 2023 General Election, former presidential contender Atiku Abubakar has made a strong case for voters in a number of states to cast ballots that will favourably impact the future of their country.

Atiku Abubakar explicitly urged the voters in the Ebonyi South senatorial district to support Barrister Silas Onu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the by-election on Saturday, in a statement that was made public today. Due to Onu’s versatility and youthful energy, Atiku said, the people of Ebonyi South, the Senate, and Nigeria as a whole stand to gain much from his presence.

Atiku extended the scope of his appeal beyond Ebonyi State, to encompass voters in 35 constituencies across nine states where court-ordered by-elections are scheduled. The states that are being examined include Taraba, Lagos, Kebbi, Ebonyi, Yobe, Borno, Kaduna, Benue, and Ondo.

In a daring move, Atiku Abubakar called on voters in the impacted polling places to reject the All Progressives Congress (APC) in order to exact revenge on them for their alleged role in making poverty and insecurity worse through poorly thought out policies.

Atiku asked voters to cast their ballots in tomorrow’s by-elections with a clear vision of the country’s future in mind because it will be crucial in guiding the country towards economic and societal recovery.

Along with supporting a peaceful election process, the former presidential contender urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to atone for any perceived anomalies in the 2023 elections. Additionally, he exhorted PDP members and members of other participating political parties to behave on election day in compliance with established protocols.

Atiku’s remarks ring true as a call to action for voters to actively impact the future of their communities and the country as a whole as the day of the by-election draws near.

As voters in various constituencies cast their ballots to determine the future direction of their representation on Saturday, stay tuned for in-depth coverage and analysis of the by-elections.
