Kind Of Synergy Needed To End Terrorism Of Bandits, Insurgents – Forum

Bandits terrorizing Nigeria’s indigenous communities while the Buhari administration appears helpless.

A development forum has called on Nigerians to support governments at all levels in the fight against banditry, insurgency and other forms of criminality.

The appeal was made by the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Dutsinma Development Forum (DDF), Alhaji Shehu Ishiye, in a statement signed by the DDF Secretary Maikaita Abdullahi to the ATLANTIC POST in Abuja on Monday, July 26.

According to the group’s Secretary, “the DDF is a development forum aimed at improvement the living standard of the people of the area and the state in general economically, socially and morally.”

Ishinye also made the call at the DDF annual conference which held at Dutsinma, a community in Katsina state.

“Unity and peace of this country can only be achieved through individual and collective efforts especially in fighting insecurity and other factors militating economic development of the country.

”We must cooperate with our leaders in the ongoing battle to rid the country of all incidences of insecurity like banditry, kidnapping etc.

On his part, the newly elected chairman of the forum, Dr Sabiu Liadi appreciate all members for their maturity, love and commitment during the election.

He promised to partner with other stakeholders for the benefit of our forum, the Local Government and State in general.

“I will extend the hand of friendship to everyone and assure to run an open door policy.

“I promise that the new elected executives would usher in new projects that would touch on the lives of the people of Dutsinma and environs.

The new elected executive committee has Dr Sabiu Liyadi as Chairman, Aliyu Ibrahim as Vice Chairman; Maikaita Abdullahi as Secretary, Bishir Ibrahim as Assistant Secretary and Hamza Abba Kasim as Financial Secretary.

Others include: Ahamad Saad, Treasurer; Adullahi Bature, Auditor; Kabir Yari, Welfare Secretary; Bishir Tanbu; and Kabir Sada, Publicity Secretary II.
