…describes it as gruesome and inhuman
The Acting National Coordinator of Atiku Advancement Project, Barr. Soalabo West has decried the killing of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) worker, Hauwa Liman by the dreaded Boko Haram fighters as “gruesome and inhuman”.
Barr. West condemned the recent killing of the ICRC female worker in a press statement signed by his media aide, Nkemjika Horsefall and made available to journalists in Port Harcourt, Rivers State where he faulted the Federal Government claim that Boko Haram has been defeated.
The lawyer and politician stated that the FG should save the time it uses to claim that the terrorist group has been crushed to fight the Islamist sect to a standstill, believing that Boko Haram is on rampage again and has started unleashing terror on communities.
The former Rivers State Governorship aspirant noted that the murder of Hauwa Liman is a pointer to the fact that an astronomical level of insecurity has enveloped the country again.
Meanwhile, it was reported how the ICRC on Sunday raised alarm that the Boko Haram threatened to kill Hauwa Liman within the next 24 hours.
Ms Liman was kidnapped alongside others in March in Rann, Borno State, when the insurgents attacked a camp for displaced persons.
One of the kidnapped aid workers, Saifura Khorsa, had been killed in September.
After the September murder of Ms Khorsa, the Boko Haram released a video threatening to kill Ms Liman and Leah Sharibu, one of the schoolgirls abducted at Government Secondary School, Dapchi in Yobe State last year.
