The book written by Femi Adesina, a former Special Advisor on Media and Publicity to former President Muhammadu Buhari, has been hailed by former Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo as “very wise and proactive” because it provides “the most reliable account” of his experiences at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

When Adesina formally gave the former vice president a copy of the book, Working With Buhari: Reflections of a Special Adviser, Media and Publicity (2015–2023), Professor Osinbajo made the remark over the weekend in Lagos.

The book will be officially released on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, starting at 10 a.m. at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.

When Osinbajo received the work—which was published by Safari Books Ltd.—he praised both its calibre and Adesina’s productivity, given that it was completed just seven months after they quit their jobs.

Osinbajo commented on the notion that the writer would release the publication at this particular moment.

“It seems like a really sensible and proactive course of action. Given that he was an insider, I believe it is prudent to take this action. He is well informed about all the personal matters and facts discussed in the book. It’s the proper thing to do, since it allows him to set the narrative in motion and forces other writers to utilise this as their soft material. This is undoubtedly the most trustworthy account.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the book’s subject, will be the Special Guest of Honour at the launch on January 16. General I.B.M. Haruna, the Co-Chairman, and former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, will be the Chairman and Co-Chairman, respectively.

Leading the royal delegation from Saudi Arabia is HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Faisal Al Saud. Alhaji Mohammed Indimi, the wealthy businessman and chairman of Oriental Energy Resources Limited, will serve as the chief launcher of the event.
