The people of Boboroku sub-clan, Idjerhe Kingdom, Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State, have expressed deep appreciation to the Deputy President of the Senate, Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege for attracting the construction of a two-kilometer road and bridge to the Community.
In a statement signed by High Chief Godwin Oghenekohwo Ofishe, the Unugbrogodo of Boboroku-Jesse, the traditional ruler noted that prior to this period, the Community suffered neglect in several areas, including difficulty in accessing neighbouring communities.
The Community described Senator Omo-Agege as a promise keeper, saying the project is one of the promises the DSP made to them during his electioneering campaigns.
According to them, this singular act has portrayed the DSP as a true representative of his people, adding that since the Senator assumed office in 2015 as the Senator representing Delta-Central, the story has not been the same in Urhoboland.
While assuring the Senator of the people’s continued support for his Office and the Buhari administration, the Boboroku community pleaded for more developmental projects, saying that despite being an Oil-bearing community, they have been abandoned by successive administrations.
