Odigie-Oyegun: Why I quit APC chairmanship race

Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that he will not be re-contesting the national chairmanship position in the forthcoming National Convention slated for June 23, in the party’s interest.

APC congresses hold with some hitches

As the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) holds it state congresses on Saturday, some hoodlums disrupted the exercise of a faction of the party in Ondo state.

The Ondo state factional congress involved those loyal to the suspended Chairman, Mr. Isaacs Kekemeke.

The hoodlums stormed the venue in Akure, the state capital armed with sticks and clubs and attacked delegates and members as well as newsmen at the venue.

The hoodlums also set a bonfire built with automobile tyres in front of the venue.

APC appeal panel upholds imo congresses amid protests

The All Progressives Congress (APC) appeal committee has rectified the ward and local government congresses held in Imo State, effectively putting paid to the state Governor, Rochas Okorocha’s efforts to reverse the outcome of the congresses.

The approval by the committee came just as members of the Imo State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Hon. Acho Ihim, stormed the APC national secretariat in Abuja last Tuesday along with some party stakeholders from the state to protest against the outcome of the congress.
