Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba has been named by the All Progressives Congress as the secretary of the party’s national convention committee.

The APC convention has been slated for 23 June.

The party promptly appointed Ndoma-Egba as a replacement for the former secretary, Senator Ben Uwajumogu from Imo state, who resigned for personal reasons.

Ndoma-Egba, a senior advocate of Nigeria, is also the chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission.

He was born on 8 March 1956 in Ikom, Cross River State. He has an LL.B degree from the University of Lagos and an LLM degree from the University of Calabar.

He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1978 and was elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in 2004.

He was thrice elected as senator, in 2003, 2007 and 2011 to represent Cross River central district in the National Assembly. (NAN)
