The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Honourable Chief Justice Walter Nkanu Onnoghen, has arrived the premises of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) in Abuja.
According to a News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) report, the Honourable Chief Justice has appeared at the Tribunal to take his plea on the charge of false asset declaration against him.
According to an online report by the Punch newspaper earlier the CJN was sighted arriving at the Code of Conduct Tribunal premises, in a convoy of five cars at about 9.40 am.
On Wednesday, the tribunal chairman, Danladi Umar ordered his arrest following his consistent absence from court.
The three-man tribunal will begin sitting at 10am.
