Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that no person will succeed in becoming the next Rivers State Governor if the intention is to make the state a personal estate.
A chieftain and leading aspirant for the governorship ticket of the APC in Rivers State, Dr. Dakuku Peterside said the party looks unstoppable in its goal of winning the presidential, governorship and all other elective positions in the state in 2023.

“It was long expected that the very bad governance of Gov. Nyesom Wike will further slide as 2023 general elections approached. What was not envisaged was the speed and how early in 2022 things would plummet leaving hapless Rivers people and residents with the short end of the stick,” Chris Finebone writes in Opinions.

Factional Chairman of Rivers APC, has warned that the time when individuals impersonated as the elected officers of the Party in the State was over.
The Rivers State Chief Judge has been accused again of corruption and conspiracy by the state chapter of the APC, without evidence.
Without any shred of evidence, the Rivers APC Publicity Secretary made the following unsubstantiated claim in furtherance of his party’s conspiracy theory.
“That kind of money can be used judiciously in developing cottage industries and creating jobs, which would engage our youths and strengthen the economy,” Rivers APC insists.
