President Muhammadu Buhari has declared his intention to run again for President in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
The announcement was made on Monday in Abuja at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Executive meeting.
The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, a controversial politician and diehard Buhari supporter, tweeted the announcement on Monday:

With this declaration, the battle for 2019 has officially began.
Many economics experts are wondering whether a man who met Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at $5,671 in 2015 but rapidly declined it to $5,438 within a year deserves another shot at the helms.
Whichever way, one thing is sure: the die is cast.
