Shun terrorism, Editor’s late father urged Nigerian youths

CHIEF Etuk-Udo Sampson, the late father of a senior Niger Delta journalist and editor, Akanimo Sampson who was abducted by Kidnappers in Abia State, Eastern Nigeria in June 2010, has appealed to aggrieved Nigerian youths to shun
all forms of terrorism and kidnapping of citizens for the sake of the country.

Family sources say the departed senior citizen had wished to witness a Nigeria devoid of Boko Haram, herdsmen terrorism
and acts of insurgency by aggrieved ethnic and regional militia.

Security chiefs warn of plans to disrupt 2019 election process

The Security operatives have raised the alarm of plans by some groups to disrupt the processes leading to the 2019 elections.

The evil plan, according to security, was for the groups to create a stalemate.

They warned the media against the activities of some unregistered groups that had lately been active in trying to undermine critical institutions such the law-enforcement agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
